COVID-19 INFORMATION

COVID 19 VACCINATION CENTRE

We are offering Covid 19 vaccines to all eligible Australians according to the Government roll out guidelines. If you are new to the clinic, it is important to contact your regular GP and ask them to forward a Medical Health Summary to you to bring with you on the day. For all new patients, please fill in the New Patient Form and Covid Consent Form to bring along with you on the day of your appointment.

We are administering 5th dose booster vaccines to all patients that have had a prior booster dose 6 months earlier.

We have availability for children 5-11 years old. These clinics will be held on Tues & Thurs.

Information for the Pfizer (Comirnaty) Vaccine can be accessed by clicking on the link above.

WHAT THE CLINIC IS DOING

Ringwood Medical Health Centre are taking precautionary measures to protect patients and staff from contracting the Covid-19 virus. We ensure patients have ready access to medical care by offering face-to-face appointments, as well as telehealth appointments.

Seating in the waiting room is positioned to a regulated distance. You may choose to wait in your car until contacted by phone at your appointment time.

Extra measures have been taken for daily cleaning using hospital grade solutions to disinfect surfaces and are cleaned throughout the day.

WHERE CAN I GET TESTED?

We DO NOT test for covid 19 at the clinic.

The government has organised designated screening clinics and drive through testing sites. Please click on the link to find your nearest location.

CAN I STILL VISIT MY DOCTOR?

You can continue to visit your doctor as normal. We are taking extra precautions to stop possible Covid-19 cases from entering the practice. If you have any of the following symptoms - fever • cough • sore throat • shortness of breath • had contact with a person who has been diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus, or had contact with an international traveller within the past 14 days, you will be asked to remain outside the practice, where we will provide support and diagnosis over the phone where possible.

If you are waiting for a PCR/RAT test result or have Covid-19 symptoms, you must declare this at the time of booking your appointment. Failure to do so will result in prohibiting you seeking further medical attention at the clinic.

WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?

Telehealth is available for existing patients of Ringwood Medical Health Centre who have had a Face-to-Face consultation at the clinic within the past 12 months. Patients can book their telehealth consultation with their preferred doctor, which will be provided in the comfort of your home. Appointments can be made online.

Face-to-Face consultations are still available if preferred.

New patients to the clinic are asked to attend their first appointment in person in order for the doctor to obtain a full patient history.
