COVID 19 VACCINATION CENTRE
We are offering Covid 19 vaccines to all eligible Australians according to the Government roll out guidelines. If you are new to the clinic, it is important to contact your regular GP and ask them to forward a Medical Health Summary to you to bring with you on the day. For all new patients, please fill in the New Patient Form and Covid Consent Form to bring along with you on the day of your appointment.
Please be advised that we are administering both Astra Zeneca & Pfizer vaccines. If you are booking in for your second dose of a vaccine and had your first vaccine somewhere else, please ensure you bring along details of the first vaccination. Information for the Pfizer (Comirnaty) Vaccine & Astra Zeneca Vaccine can be accessed by clicking on the links above.
If you are not sure which vaccine you are eligible for, please click here and answer all the questions.
WHAT THE CLINIC IS DOING
Ringwood Medical Health Centre are taking precautionary measures to protect patients and staff from contracting the Covid-19 virus. We ensure patients have ready access to medical care by offering face-to-face appointments, as well as telehealth appointments.
Seating in the waiting room is positioned to a regulated distance. You may choose to wait in your car until contacted by phone at your appointment time. Extra measures have been taken for daily cleaning using hospital grade solutions to disinfect surfaces and are cleaned throughout the day.
INFORMATION LINKS FOR COVID-19
For cold or flu symptoms we recommend you use the COVID-19 Symptom Checker to assess whether you require medical help.
WHERE CAN I GET TESTED?
We are conducting Covid-19 testing at the clinic. These tests are performed later in the day, near the end of the doctors shift. You are required to book an appointment and call the clinic when you arrive, remaining in your car until the doctor comes out to test you.
The government has organised designated screening clinics and drive through testing sites. Please click on the link to find your nearest location.
CAN I STILL VISIT MY DOCTOR?
You can continue to visit your doctor as normal. We are taking extra precautions to stop possible Covid-19 cases from entering the practice.
If you have any of the following symptoms - fever • cough • sore throat • shortness of breath • had contact with a person who has been diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus, or had contact with an international traveller within the past 14 days, you will be asked to remain outside the practice, where we will provide support and diagnosis over the phone where possible.
WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?
Telehealth is now available for existing patients of Ringwood Medical Health Centre who have had a Face-to-Face consultation at the clinic within the past 12 months. Patients can book their telehealth consultation with their preferred doctor, which will be provided in the comfort of your home. Appointments can be made online.
Face-to-Face consultations are still available if preferred.
New patients to the clinic are asked to attend their first appointment in person in order for the doctor to obtain a full patient history.
